More and more men and women are discovering their conscious ability to "feel" their environment. Whether your intuitive sense is clairvoyance (to see), clairaudience (to hear), or clairsentience (to feel) your surroundings, crystals can help beginner psychics adjust and stabilize your energy frequencies in a multitude of ways.
Because of their multidimensional properties, crystals can transmit, receive, hold and protect you from different vibrational frequencies. Depending on the crystal and your desired intent, crystals are wonderful divination tools for the beginner intuitive.
For years, I dumbed down my psychic abilities with alcohol. If you are anything like me, you may not be aware of your psychic gifts at a conscious level. Signs that you may be psychic are uneasy feelings that you cannot explain. Overwhelm, anxiety, or depressions that you aren't able to overcome or rationalize. The other side of the swinging emotional pendulum is when you feel elated, joyful, or happy with no inclination as to why or what raised your vibration.
On an unconscious level, you may be picking up on the energies around you. Start to become aware of people in your life who always lift your spirits and make you feel good or people who drain you like Energy Vampires, Negative Nancys or Debbie Downers.
One Divination Tool I discovered that helped me to protect myself from the negative frequencies in my world was how to use the vibrational frequencies of crystals to help stabilize, protect, and ground me.
I was very green to the psychic world but the more I learned about energy frequencies, the more everything was beginning to make sense!
In my early years of psychic development, I didn't know how to protect myself but I DID know how to google for mystical crystal stores and set out on a quest to learn everything I could about crystals and their metaphysical properties.
In essence, any of the black crystals are your protection mechanisms to dispel energy frequencies that are unhealthy or toxic for you. Here are my three favs:

Obsidian is a protective stone that also shields against negativity and blocks psychic attack. Obsidian can also stabilize and balance your environment such as your home, car or office.
Shungite acts as a protective conduit against technological vibrations like computers, microwaves, and sound waves and acts as a healing crystal to ground and protect you.
